I’m writing you this letter today to finally say Thank You for all that you have done for me over the past couple of years while I worked to build my business. I know at first, everything was really rocky. There was a lot going on that I had to do, and it took up a huge amount of time that we couldn’t spend together.
When we first started, you stuck by my side. It was wicked tough dealing with the fact I worked long hours, was tired every night when I got home, and the biggest challenge of all: I wasn’t getting paid. I know that put a lot of pressure on you since you were the only one bringing in the income. We unfortunately lost our apartment and had to move in with my parents because of me. We also didn’t get to do things together like normal couples. There were no weekends out on the town, no grabbing dinner at a nice restaurant, no going to the movies. We were on a very strict budget and we just couldn’t afford to do those things.
I want you to know how appreciative I am that you were so patient with me during all of the craziness. You left your job to come help support my family’s business. Those were long hours and sometimes very tiring. I know it must have been tough to deal with me and my mother all day long. I am so thankful you didn’t just throw your arms up in the air, and walk out. No one would’ve blamed you.
You even stayed by my side when I found out some of the worst news of all – that I was diagnosed with depression. I know you don’t have depression and don’t really understand why someone can feel so sad sometime and so happy other times. I can’t even imagine how hard it must’ve been for you to help me go through that. But you stayed with me and supported me. Even to this day you still help me overcome those hurdles I sometimes struggle to clear.
You are an amazing person and I can’t express to you how much you’ve helped me in life. You’ve helped me become a person I never thought I could be. You are kind, understanding and most of all patient. You’re my best friend and I love you so much.
